Al Noor Tower

The Al Noor Tower is a skyscraper under construction in the Moroccan city ​​of Casablanca .

Construction began in July 2015 and is expected to be completed in spring 2018 [obsolete] . Its height should be 540 m. It will be the tallest building in Morocco and at the same time more than twice as high as the previously tallest building in Africa, the 223 m high Carlton Center in Johannesburg .

The developer is Middle East Development LLC (MED - Dubai - UAE) under Sheikh Tarek M. Binladen. According to Amedee Santal, spokesman for the project developer, the building will have 114 floors, as many as the Koranic suras . Its appearance is said to be reminiscent of a wedding dress from afar. When completed, the Al Noor Tower will be the seventh tallest skyscraper in the world. The total area of ​​the building is 335,000 square meters. The construction costs are 1.5 billion US dollars.
