The Alabama State Route 177 (abbreviated AL 177 ) is a state highway in the US state of Alabama , which runs north-south direction.
The State Route begins on US Highway 43 south of Jackson and ends after five kilometers north of Jackson again on US 43. The AL 177 is used to connect the village of Jackson to the US 43. In the center of the city also branches off the Alabama State Route 69 .
history
The Alabama State Route 177 was from 1940 to 1957 the name of a route between Ashville and Leeds via Odenville . This street was upgraded to US Highway 411 or rededicated to Alabama State Route 25 . In 1970, the AL 177 was assigned its current route after US Highway 43 was relocated to a bypass route around Jackson.
