The Alabama State Route 67 (abbreviated AL 67 ) is a state highway in the US state of Alabama , which runs north-south direction.

The State Route begins on US Highway 231 south of Summit and ends after 39 miles near Decatur on US Highway 72 Alternate and Alabama State Route 20 .

From the turnoff on US 231, the road runs in a northwest direction and meets in Joppa to the Alabama State Route 69 and in Stringer to the Alabama State Route 36 . West of Priceville, she crosses Interstate 65 and then crosses Flint Creek . After the junction with US Highway 31 in the south of Decatur, the State Route forms a bypass ring to its end in the west of the city. Before that, however, Alabama State Route 24 branches off.

history

Alabama State Route 67 opened in 1940 as the road between Decatur and Baileyton . The highway was extended in 1953 by a section from Baileyton to US Highway 231.
