Alain Felkel

Alain Felkel (* 1965 ) is a German historian and author.

After finishing his school education Felkel attended the University of Marburg , the University of Salamanca and the University of Cologne. There he studied Middle and Modern History as well as Spanish Romance Studies and Ibero-American History.

From 1997 Felkel worked as an author. He has written scripts and is a consultant on historical issues for television productions. In 2013 he published the first German-language biography of the French Marshal " Louis Nicolas Davout . The genius in the shadow of Napoleon" in the Osburg publishing house. In "Operation Piratenjagd" (2014) he describes the conflict between pirates and their hunters from ancient times to the present.

Furthermore, in 2009 he published the non-fiction book "Uprising. The Germans as rebellious people", in which he exemplarily shows how the Germans have rebelled against oppression and tyranny in their history. Felkel was also co-author of the booklet for the television documentary series " Die Germanen ". He lives and works in Cologne.
