Alain Oreille (born April 22, 1953 in Martigues ) is a former French rally driver .
Alain Oreille began his career in 1974 and drove car races until 1996. Twice, in 1989 and 1990, he won the World Drivers Championship for Group N cars. In the 1990s he, who mostly drove with his wife Sylvie as co-driver, was a works driver for Renault in the French rally championship.
With his victory in the Ivory Coast Rally in 1989 - at that time a round of the World Rally Championship - Oreille wrote a small piece of motorsport history. To date, he is the only rally driver who has won a world championship race with a Group N vehicle ( Renault 5 GT Turbo ).
