Alastis was a Swiss black metal band that was founded in Sion in 1987 .

history

The original line-up of the band consisted of War D. on guitar, Zumof as singer, Acronoise on drums and Masmiseim on bass. However, Masmiseim left the band early to join the group Samael and Zumof soon ended his affiliation with Alastis. Samael's current singer and guitarist, Michael Locher , appeared as a guest singer on the Alastis demo Black Wedding . The band's first album, The Just Law , was released in 1992 with the Norwegian record company Head Not Found . After further line-up changes, they signed a contract with Adipocere Records, where they released their second album in 1995 … And Death Smiled . In 1996 the band signed a contract with Century Media , which sold the band's work in the United States . Their album The Other Side was released in 1997 and the following year their fourth album, Revenge , came to the public. At that time the line-up consisted of War D. (guitar, synthesizer and vocals), Acronoise (drums), Nick (guitar) and Raff (bass).

In 2000 Sebastian (drums) and Graven X (keyboard) joined the band. The band's last work was the ten-track album Unity , which was released in 2001 through Century Media. Then the band began to build their own studio, which should serve to record already written pieces for the sixth album. Nevertheless, the band broke up in 2004.
