Alban Préaubert
Alban Préaubert (born September 20, 1985 in Grenoble ) is a former French figure skater who started in a single run .
He was third in the French championships in 2006 and 2008 to 2011 . He made his debut at World and European Championships in 2006 and finished eighth and sixth respectively. At the world championships, this eighth place remained his best result. The following year he finished eleventh and in 2008 he had to retire. After that he was unable to qualify for a world championship or the Olympic Games against strong national competition such as Brian Joubert , Yannick Ponsero and Florent Amodio . In contrast, he regularly took part in European championships. His best result there was fifth in 2009 in Helsinki . In 2011 Préaubert announced his retirement from competitive sports.
