The Albatross Glacier is a glacier on Mount Bird on the Antarctic Ross Island . It flows south of the Prion Glacier .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee renamed the glacier, originally called Quarternary Glacier , in 1989 . It is named after the albatross family of birds .
