The Albatross Cove is a cove at the southeast end of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is located in the northeastern part of Cooper Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2009. It is named after the boat Albatross , which the British ornithologist Niall Rankin used for his ornithological studies between 1946 and 1947.
