Albert Defant Medal

The Albert Defant Medal is a science award from the German Meteorological Society (DMG). It is named after Albert Defant and was donated on his 100th birthday in 1984. The medal is awarded to personalities who have made outstanding contributions as scientists in physical oceanography .
