Albert Falco

Albert Falco (born October 17, 1927 in Marseille ; † April 21, 2012 ibid) was a French diver and researcher, who was best known for his collaboration with Jacques-Yves Cousteau .

Albert Falco was a long-time companion of Cousteau, who in the almost forty years at his side (1952–1990) earned the rank of "chief diver" and captain of the Calypso .

He played a leading role in several films conceived by Cousteau, such as in 1956 in Le monde du silence .

In 2010 he was accepted into the Legion of Honor as 'Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur' .
