Helbig & Klöckner was an architecture firm based in Cologne .

history

In 1908 Rolf Helbig (actually Rudolf Hugo Helbig , born April 30, 1881 in Bautzen , † March 4, 1960 in Cologne-Lindenthal ) and Albert Klöckner (born April 4, 1874 in Hirtscheid , † April 28, 1957 in Cologne) founded an architecture office which existed until 1927.

Buildings and designs

  • 1911–1912: Hotel Kaiserhof in Elberfeld
  • 1911–1913: Isay department store in Cologne (in partnership with Oskar Rosendahl ; under monument protection )
  • 1912 -0000: Gottschalk residential and commercial building in Dormagen (with synagogue on the top floor; listed)
  • 1914 -0000: Competition design for an administration building for the Rheinisch-Westfälische Baugewerks-Berufsgenossenschaft in Elberfeld (awarded first prize of 2,000 marks )
  • 1925–1926: House for Albert Mathée in Cologne-Marienburg, Ahrweilerstraße 3
