Albert Steinmetz

Albert Steinmetz (born December 28, 1909 in Heidelsheim , † December 5, 1988 in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt ) was a German athlete.

At the German Championships in 1935 he was fifth over 200 meters and fourth over 100 meters in 1936. At the Olympic Games in Berlin Steinmetz reached the intermediate run on the 200-meter route. In 1938 he became German runner-up with the Frankfurt 4 x 100 meter relay.

He set his personal best over 200 meters in 21.8 s in 1935 in Darmstadt. His best time over 100 meters was 10.5 s, run in Dortmund in 1938. Steinmetz started for TV 1899 Heidelsheim, Karlsruher FV , SV Kickers Stuttgart , Eintracht Frankfurt and Post-SG Mannheim .
