Alberto Cirio
Alberto Cirio (born December 6, 1972 in Turin ) is an Italian politician from Forza Italia . He has been the incumbent President of the Piedmont Region since 2019 .
Life
Alberto Cirio studied law at the University of Turin . From 2010 to 2014 he was regional minister for education, tourism and sport in Piedmont.
In the 2014 European elections , Cirio was elected as a member of the European Parliament . There he was a member of the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety , the Committee on Petitions , the delegation to the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Cooperation Committee and the delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. In 2019 he was elected President of the Piedmont Region.
