The Albis Tunnel is a 3,359 meter long, single-lane railway tunnel through the Albis between Sihlbrugg and Litti bei Baar in Switzerland . It was opened in 1897 by the Schweizerische Nordostbahn (NOB) as part of the Thalwil – Arth-Goldau railway line and is now part of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) network. When the tunnel broke through on May 8, 1894, it was the second longest railway tunnel in Switzerland.
The tunnel has already been repaired several times - the last time on a large scale in 1982–1985. In 2006 renovation work was carried out again.
