Alden is a moon crater on the back of Earth's moon . It is located between Hilbert , which lies north-northwest from it, and Milne , which lies south-southeast from it. In the south-southwest is Scaliger .

Alden has a low crater rim that is dominated by Alden C and the smaller Alden E to the north and northeast. The rim of the crater is furrowed and eroded (especially in the southern part). The soil is irregular and eroded. The small crater Alden V lies in the northern rim of the crater and is connected to Alden C in the east.
