The pastor ("Reverend") Thomas William Webb (born December 14, 1807 , † May 19, 1885 ) was a British amateur astronomer . Some sources give 1806 as the year of his birth.

He went to Oxford and then became a clergyman. He served in this office in various places, including Gloucester . Finally, in 1852, he came to Hardwicke near the Wales border . Here he wrote the (later classic) observation guide "Celestial Objects for Common Telescopes", for which he is still known today.

The lunar crater Webb and the asteroid (3041) Webb are named after him.
