Webb is an impact crater on the front of the moon on the eastern edge of Mare Tranquillitatis , north of Langrenus crater and south of Apollonius . The rim of the crater is irregularly shaped and the interior is largely flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the British astronomer Thomas William Webb .
