Aldhelm (also Ealdhelm, Ældhelm, Adelelmus, Althelmus, Adelme ) is an Anglo-Saxon male given name . The name is composed of the elements Eald- / Ald- (= "old, experienced") and helmet (= "Protection, defense, protector, master").
