Aleksander Kõss (alternatively also written Aleksander Köss , * 1919 ; † September 20, 1944 with Avinurme , Estonian SSR ) was an Estonian football player .

Career

Aleksander Kõss played in the club at Olümpia Tartu with whom he was Estonian champion in 1940 . In 1940 he also completed an international match for the Estonian national team against Latvia in Kadrioru staadion of Tallinn .

death

As a soldier in World War II he was killed on September 20, 1944 in the Battle of Avinurme during the Tallinn Offensive . It is estimated that over 170,000 people died there.
