Alessandro Colizzi

Alessandro Colizzi (* 1962 in Rome ) is an Italian director and writer .

Life

The film historian - he attended La Sapienza University - Colizzi attended directing courses with Nikita Michalkow and offers for screenwriting with Robert McKee . After working as an assistant director at Ettore Scola and others, he first made short films and a documentary about Rainer Werner Fassbinder in the mid-1990s , before presenting his debut work for the screen with L'ospite in 1998, based on his own script. In 2002 a television film followed, in 2004 his last cinema work so far, Fino a farti male .

As a writer , Colizzi published his first novel, Il corpo di mia madre, in 2005, following the script published in 1999 for his first feature film .
