Alessandro Piu (born July 30, 1996 in Udine ) is an Italian football player . The striker is currently under contract with FC Empoli .

Career

Piu finished his junior period in the youth department of FC Empoli in 2015 . In the second half of the 2014/15 season , Piu was a few times in the Azzurri squad , but was not used. Since the beginning of the 2015/16 season he has been part of the Empolis regular team. Piu made his first appearance in Serie A on September 24, 2015 when he lost 1-0 to Atalanta Bergamo .

After a one-year loan with Spezia Calcio during the 2016/17 season , he returned to FC Empoli.

Piu has been playing for various junior national teams in Italy since 2012.
