Alexandar Stefanow Schendow ( Bulgarian Александър Стефанов Жендов ; born August 26, 1901 in Sofia , † October 29, 1953 ibid) was a Bulgarian graphic artist, journalist and politician.

Life

Schendow joined the Bulgarian Communist Party early on . In 1925 he emigrated to Berlin where he studied until 1927. He went to Moscow in the Soviet Union and graduated from the Moscow School of Fine Arts there in 1930 .

Schendow created graphics, caricatures, satirical pictures, posters and paintings. He also worked as an illustrator of children's books.
