Alexander Felixowitsch Kon

Alexander Felixowitsch Kon ( Russian Александр Феликсович Кон ; born June 3, 1897 in Kharkiv , † 1941 near Moscow ) was a Soviet economist and theorist.

Life

Kon's parents were the revolutionaries Christina Grinberg and Feliks Kon . He studied at the Law Faculty of Kharkiv University and taught at Communist Academies from 1919, and from 1935 at Moscow State University . In the same year Kon entered the CPSU and became an employee of the Marx-Engels-Lenin Institute .

Alexander Kon volunteered for military service in 1941. He died defending Moscow in the German-Soviet war .

His sister Jelena Felixowna Kon (1893–1968) was a literary critic and translator.
