Alexander Freed

Alexander Marsh Freed is an American book and comics writer, game designer and editor from Austin, Texas . He is best known for his work on Star Wars: The Old Republic and his novel adaptation of the movie of the same name, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story .

Live and act

From 2006 to 2012 Freed worked at BioWare as a lead game developer on various projects. Since 2012 he has been working independently on BioWare franchises such as Star Wars: The Old Republic or Dragon Age , novels and comics. In addition, he helps with the product development of numerous companies, such as WB Games Montreal .

Awards

  • 2002: nominated International Horror Guild for "best anthology" with his short story "Inheriting Red" in "The Book of more Flesh"
  • 2002: nominated Origins Award for "Best Long-Form Fiction" also with "Inheriting Red"
  • 2004: Nominated Gen Con EN World RPG Award for "Best d20 Monster Supplement" with "Denizens of Avandu"
  • 2006: Nominated Gen Con EN World RPG Award for "Best Electronic Book" with "Lorebook of the Broken Isles", he worked here on the story and the rules design
  • 2007: British Science Fiction Association nominated for "Best Short Story" with "The Star Necromancers"
  • 2011: MSNBC winner for "Game of the Year" with Star Wars: The Old Republic
  • 2015: BuzzFeed put "Star Wars: Battlefront: Twilight Company" on the list of "24 Best Science Fiction Books of 2015"
