WB Games Montréal Inc. is a Canadian video game developer based in Montreal , Québec .

history

WB Games Montréal was founded in 2010 by Martin Tremblay, Martin Carrier, and Reid Schneider. The studio is currently owned by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment . One of the studio titles, Batman: Arkham Origins , was unveiled at E3 . The game was nominated in the categories of Best Action Adventure Game and Best Console Game at the Game Critics Awards . The game was also named "Best Video Game" by Forbes . Batman: Arkham Origins release received positive reviews. However, the company received significant criticism for failing to properly test the game before it was released and for refusing to fix a number of serious bugs that were affecting the game. Instead, the focus was on developing and releasing paid DLC.

In an interview as part of the Humans of Gaming Podcast in October 2018, WB Games Montréal Senior Game Designer Osama Dorias confirmed that two DC comic-based video games are currently in development.
