Alexander Holzhammer (born May 29, 1985 in Leverkusen ) is a former German e-athlete .

Career

Alexander Holzhammer, also known as gamerno1 , is one of the most famous German FIFA players. In 2001 Holzhammer joined the clan Fifa Elite School . Shortly before the German World Cyber ​​Games qualification, he switched to proGaming and won the qualification. After he had relatively little success at the WCG in South Korea , he was able to win the German World Cyber ​​Games qualification again next year . In South Korea he was able to win the gold medal together with Serhat Sirin in the nations competition. In the individual evaluation, Holzhammer took 5th place. This also made him internationally known. After narrowly missing out on fourth place in the World Cyber ​​Games in 2003, he was invited to China together with the Schellhase twins to represent Germany at the OPTISP FIFA Champions Cup . Alexander Holzhammer was also able to achieve national success with proGaming, won the EPS Season IV in June 2003 and came second in EPS Season III and V. In qualifying for the World Cyber ​​Games 2004, Alexander Holzhammer was able to finish second and was again fifth in the final in San Francisco .

After large parts of the FIFA squad from proGaming disbanded, Holzhammer founded the Alternate aTTaX FIFA team with some players from proGaming and SK Gaming in December 2004. Holzhammer took part in the World League eSport Bundesliga with Arcor Electric Eleven . He was also present in an advertising campaign for Arcor. After two third places in 2006 and 2007, he was able to achieve the German championship title in the eSport Bundesliga in Berlin in 2008.
