Alexander Koschel

Alexander Koschel (* 1969 ) is a German organist, musicologist and producer.

Life

Alexander Koschel studied music in Germany, Russia and Austria. He also took part in numerous master classes. In 2005 he received his doctorate (Dr. phil.) From the University of Art in Graz . Alexander Koschel is the founder of the Ladegast-Kollegium e. V. , which is committed to the preservation of Friedrich Ladegast 's legacy ; until 2005 was also the club's president. Koschel is the author of an extensive publication on the Ladegast family of organ builders. He is also the author of a number of scientific articles for the specialist press and publisher of organ sheet music.

Alexander Koschel lives in Germany and Switzerland. His main interest as an interpreter and musicologist is central German organ music. He is an interpreter especially of the old and early romantic organ music. There are several CD and DVD recordings as well as radio and television recordings of him.

The Fagott-Orgelverlag label, which he founded in 1997, focuses on the recording, production, manufacture and sale of organ recordings.
