Alexander Maes

Alexander Maes (born April 1, 1901 in Ekeren , † December 30, 1973 in Zwijndrecht ) was a Belgian cyclist .

Maes was a professional racing bike from 1924 to 1933. During this time he was able to record nine individual victories, most of them in so-called fair races. Among his more significant successes were the victory at Paris-Menin in 1925, at Schaal Sels Merksem (1928) and the victory in the 1929 National Sluitingsprijs race, which was held for the first time .
