Alexander Nerat (born January 27, 1973 in Steyr ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ). He has been a member of the Upper Austrian Landtag since 2009 .

education and profession

Nerat completed elementary and secondary school and then attended an HTL for structural engineering for two years. Nerat then switched to vocational school, which he attended for three years, completing an apprenticeship as an electrical mechanic for low-voltage currents between 1989 and 1992. After his military service in the Steyr barracks, he worked as a temporary worker for the company ACO Personalmanagement in Linz until 1996. Nerat then worked as an independent service provider and IT dealer between 1996 and 1999. Between 1999 and 2001 he was branch manager of SVS Computer Enns and then from 2001 to 2002 branch manager of Datech Computer Mauthausen. Between 2003 and 2007 he worked as a sales representative for the Vienna Insurance Group Linz, has been an independent insurance broker since 2007 and was also employed by C + C Pfeiffer in Traun from 2008 to 2009.

politics

Nerat has been a local councilor since 1997 and has also been a member of the council in the market town of Mauthausen since 2009 . In 2007 he was appointed chairman of the FPÖ in the Perg district and in 2010 he was confirmed in this position. Since October 23, 2009 he has represented the FPÖ in the Upper Austrian state parliament and has been active in several committees there. He is area spokesman for security, tourism as well as civil and disaster control. He has been a member of the regional tourism council since December 1, 2009 and in September 2011 he was elected Vice President of the Upper Austrian Civil Protection Association.

Private

Nerat lives in Mauthausen and has a second marriage. He has a daughter from his first marriage and a son.
