Alexander Rosa

Alexander Rosa (born January 26, 1937 , Bratislava ) is a Canadian-Slovak mathematician who specializes in combinatorics with block plans (designs), for example with Steiner-Triple systems.

Rosa received her doctorate in 1968 from the Slovak Academy of Sciences under Anton Kotzig . He became a professor at McMaster University .

He worked closely with Curt Lindner since 1974 .

In 2012 he received the Euler Medal .
