Alexandros Chalcocondylis

Alexandros Chalkokondylis ( Greek Ἀλέξανδρος Χαλκοκονδύλης , also Halkokondylis or Khalkokondilis transcribed; * 1880 ) was a Greek athlete .

He was a member of the Athens Athletic Club ( Athens Sports Club - ASC or AO Athinon ). In the 100-meter run of the Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 , he was fifth with a time of 12.6 seconds. The timekeepers only stopped the time for the first two. The remaining times were estimated. In the elimination race for the final run on the first day of competition, he finished second in 12.8 seconds behind the American Thomas Curtis in 12.2 seconds.

In the long jump , Chalkokondylis was fourth with a width of 5.74 m. In 1896 in Athens, Chalcocondylis weighed 64 kg and was 1.71 m tall.
