Alfons Döser

Alfons Döser (born January 22, 1938 ) is a German newspaper publisher and entrepreneur.

Life

His father of the same name (born July 14, 1904) was, according to Döser, the main shareholder of the Wendelstein publishing house in Rosenheim, including the printing company , which published the "Rosenheimer Tagblatt Wendelstein", which was close to the Catholic Church and was banned during the Nazi era. After the war it was in competition with the Rosenheimer Anzeiger , until the Wendelstein publishing house took a stake in the publishing house of the Upper Bavarian Volksblatt in 1951 and closed the Rosenheimer Tagblatt Wendelstein in its favor .

Alfons Döser joined the publishing house of the Oberbayerischen Volksblatt in 1965 as head of the printing department , became technical operations manager the following year and from 1968 managing director alongside the then senior boss Franz Niedermeyer. Since Niedermeyer's departure in 1979, he has been the sole managing partner. He was also co-editor of Münchner Merkur and since 1982 of tz . He holds almost 7% in the Munich newspaper publishing house .

He is also the managing director of DBV Beteiligungs Verwaltung GmbH . For eight years he was president of the BC Bavaria Rosenheim boxing club . He is a partner in several travel agencies. He viewed real estate as his hobby and has built around 250 apartments and commercial buildings since 1977.

In 2003 he retired from the publishing business and now spends the winter in South Africa. On his 65th birthday, when the head of the Ippen newspaper group , Dirk Ippen, was the main speaker, Alfons Döser handed over management to his son Oliver Döser .
