Alfons X (until 1982: Alfonso X El Sabio ) is the name of a tunnel station on the Barcelona Metro . It is located in the Horta-Guinardó district . The station is owned by the Metro line 4 operated and is named after the King Alfonso X named.
history
The metro station was opened on May 16, 1974 with the name Alfonso X El Sabio as part of the extension of line 4.
In 1982 the station was given the Catalan name Alfons X ; The reason for this was Catalanization.
In 2006, access for passengers with reduced mobility was improved. The modernization of the stop began a year later and was completed in 2008.
