Alfonso Rubio

Alfonso Rubio , also known by the nickname Poncho or Ponchillo , is a former Mexican soccer player who mainly played in midfield .

career

Rubio began his professional career in the 1978/79 season at the capital club UNAM Pumas , with whom he won the Mexican football championship in the 1980/81 season .

Rubio then played for Ángeles de Puebla and UAT Correcaminos . After his active career Rubio worked for five years as a coach of various teams in the Segunda and Tercera División .
