Alfred Bayer (entrepreneur)

Alfred Bayer (born December 23, 1884 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † after 1944) was a German entrepreneur . He was a military economist and general director.

Life

He was the son of Adam Bayer and his wife Anna. After attending secondary school, he served as a one-year volunteer in the military. From 1900 to 1903 he completed an apprenticeship at the Pfälzische Bank in Mannheim . He then worked until 1913 at the Aüddeutsche Kabelwerk Aktiengesellschaft in Mannheim as an accountant and authorized representative.

In 1914 Alfred Bayer moved to Pfalzwerke Aktiengesellschaft in Ludwigshafen am Rhein , where he became commercial director. In 1919 he was appointed director of the Pfalzwerke and in 1922 a member of the board. He also later became a board member of various other companies. He was also a member of the Landscape Committee for Southwest Germany at Dresdner Bank .

During the time of National Socialism he was appointed military economic leader and general director. In 1944 he was chairman of the board and operations manager of Westmarkwerke Aktiengesellschaft Ludwigshafen am Rhein, board member of the electrical community Westmark, Ludwigshafen and managing director of Feinheizwerk Ludwigshafen-Süd Gemeinnützige GmbH, Ludwigshafen.

Honors

Alfred Bayer was awarded the title of Kommerzienrat on December 19, 1927.
