Alfred Jachmann

Alfred Jachmann (born April 13, 1829 in Trutenau near Königsberg in Prussia , † July 15, 1918 in Charlottenburg ) was a German administrative officer and banker.

Life

Alfred Jachmann studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1851 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . From 1856 to 1862 he was district administrator in the district of Königsberg i. Pr. He then resigned from civil service. He went to Berlin, where he founded the Prussian Central-Bodenkredit-AG in 1868 and became its first director. The bank had a capital of 30 million marks. In 1930 it became part of the Deutsche Centralbodenkredit-Aktiengesellschaft . This makes it one of the forerunner banks of Hypothekenbank Frankfurt .

Since 1859 he was married to the opera singer and actress Johanna Wagner .
