Alfred Rossel
Alfred Rossel (* 1841 in Cherbourg , Normandy , † 1926 in Cherbourg) was a French songwriter ( chansonnier ) and composer who wrote mainly in the Norman dialect of the Langues d'oïl .
From 1872 Rossel began to compose for regional folk festivals. He is considered to be the most famous songwriter in Normandy and his songs, especially Sus la mé , which is considered the unofficial Norman hymn , are still popular today.
