Algimantas Povilas Tauras

Algimantas Povilas Tauras (born October 30, 1933 in Tylinava near Nemunėlio Radviliškis , Biržai district municipality ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

From 1954 to 1957 he served in the Soviet Army in Ashkhabad . In 1968 he completed his degree in radio technology at the radio electronics faculty at the Kauno politechnikos institutas . From 1960 to 1977 he was a master in the technical vocational schools, deputy director, from 1978 to 1992 director of the School of Applied Arts in Kaunas . From 1992 to 1996 he was a member of the Seimas .

From 1960 to 1990 he was a member of the Lietuvos komunistų partija , then the LDDP .

He is married. With his wife Elena he has the son Rimanta and the daughter Jolita.
