Algirdas Kumža

Algirdas Kumža (born November 29, 1956 in Palūkštis , Telšiai Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian lawyer, diplomat and politician .

Life

1980 graduated Kumza the Diploma in Law at the University of Vilnius (VVU). From 1979 to 1984 he worked at the VVU in the student union, Komsomol and as a university professor at the law faculty. From 1984 to 1989 he was secretary in the Central Committee in the Lithuanian Komsomol, from 1989 to 1990 deputy head of department of the Communist Party of Lithuania . From 1990 to 1992 he was Deputat in the Seimas and from 2006 to 2008 Ambassador to Ukraine .

Kumža was a member of the Lietuvos liberalų sąjunga party .

Kumža is married. He and his wife Toma have sons Balys and Džiugas and daughters Eglė, Marija and Sofija.
