Algirdas Vapšys

Algirdas Vapšys (born November 30, 1933 in Salakas , Zarasai district ) is a Lithuanian civil engineer .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1952, Vapšys graduated from the Faculty of Hydrotechnology at the Politechnikos institutas in Kaunas in 1957 . From 1958 to 1965 he worked in the remains of the building in Vilnius and from 1966 to 1975 in the first remains of the building in Vilnius. From 1980 to 1990 Vapšys was Deputy Minister of Construction of Soviet Lithuania and from 1992 to 1994 Minister of Construction and Urbanism in the Šleževičius cabinet . From 2001 to 2006 he worked as an advisor to the Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas . From 1989 Vapšys taught as a lecturer at the VISI Institute.
