Alhagie Drammeh ran in the 2013 regional elections in Gambia to elect the Kanifing Municipal Council for the Old Jeshwang constituency in the Jeshwang constituency . Since there was no opposing candidate, he won a seat on the town council.
In the 2017 parliamentary election , he ran as a candidate for the United Democratic Party (UDP) in the same constituency in the Kanifing Administrative Region . With 40.68% he was able to win the constituency in front of the independent candidate Sheriff S. Sarr.
