Jacek Bławut
Jacek Bławut (born November 3, 1950 in Zagórze Śląskie ) is a Polish cameraman , film director and film producer who mainly works on documentaries .
Life
Bławut played in a few films as a teenager and made his debut in 1960 in the film Marysia i krasnoludki by Jerzy Szeski and Konrad Paradowski. In 1982 Bławut finished his studies in camera work at the State University for Film, Television and Theater in Łódź . He has been making his own documentary films since 1984, but only gained greater fame in 1990 with the film Nienormalni . From 1992 to 1994 he was co-editor of Film na Świecie magazine (The film in the world). He lectured at film schools in Berlin , Hanover and Toruń . Since 2003 he has been a member of the European Film Academy . He teaches at the Wajda School in Warsaw .
Bławut is the father of director Jacek Piotr Bławut and film editor Weronika Pliszka .
