Ali I. al-Husain
Ali I. al-Husain / Ali Pascha († 1756 ) was Bey of Tunis from 1736 to 1756.
Ali I. al-Husain succeeded Husain I ibn Ali (1705–1735), the founder of the Husainid dynasty in Tunisia , in 1735 . In 1752 he built the El-Bachia Medersa , inside which is now his tomb.
In 1756 Ali I al-Husain was overthrown by the sons of his predecessor when they conquered Tunis with Algerian help. Muhammad I. ar-Rashid (1756–1759) was the new Bey of Tunis .
