Ali al-Khudair

Ali al-Khudair ( Arabic علي بن خضير بن فهد الخضير Ali ibn Chudair ibn Fahd al-Chudair , DMG ʿAlī b. Ḫuḍayr b. Fahd al-Ḫuḍayr ; * 1954 in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia ) is an Islamic religious scholar and clergyman from Saudi Arabia.

His life

Al-Kudhair began to pursue Islamic knowledge (Ṭalāb al-ʿilm) when he was still in high school. He began to study the Quran and learn to recite it according to the Tajweed rules. His teacher in it was Shaykh 'Abd Ar-Ra'uuf Al Hannawi.

One of the first whom he took knowledge of before beginning his studies in the Usuul Ad-Deen Faculty was Shaykh 'Ali Ibn' Abd-Allaah Al-Jardaan and Shaykh and Judge Muhammad Al-Muheezi (and he was one of the leading Judge in the time of Muhammad Ibn Ibraheem)

His teachers

Ali al-Khudair studied a. a. with the following scholars:

  • Shaykh Hamuud Ibn 'Uqlaa Ash-Shu'aybi. He learned Tawhid , 'Aqidah and other Islamic sciences from him until his death.
  • He also took his knowledge from Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-Mansuur. He stayed with him for 4 years, from 1409 to 1413 during which he studied Tawhid , Fiqh , Al-Faraaid, Hadith and Nahw.
  • He also studied with Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-'Uthaymeen. He studied Fiqh with him for a period of 4 years (from 1400 to 1403).
  • He also took his knowledge from Shaykh 'Abd-Allaah Ibn Muhammad Ibn' Abd-Allaah Aal-Husayn. He mainly studied Fiqh with him.
  • He also studied with the Zaahid, Shaykh Muhammad Sulaymaan Al-'Aleet. He studied various books with him relating to Az-Zuhd, such as "Kitaab Az-Zuhd" by Imaam Al-Waqee 'and "Al-Waraa'" by Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal.

He also studied with various scholars at the Usul Ad-Deen Faculty.

His arrest

Ali al-Khudair was arrested by the Saudi government in 1420 after the Hijrah (2003) and was forced to make a confession in which he stated that he would withdraw all his fataawa regarding jihad.
