Alireza Nikbakht Vahedi (born June 23, 1980 in Mashhad ; Persian علیرضا نیکبخت واحدی) is an Iranian soccer player . He plays in the Iranian national soccer team and as a midfielder for Persepolis Tehran .

His first professional club was Abu Moslem Mashhad in his hometown of Mashhad, where he was only under contract in 1999. After that he switched to Esteghlal Tehran. He has played for the national team since 2000. So far, he has played 64 international matches, scoring eleven goals. He participated in the 2007 Asian Cup and was originally part of the Iranian squad for the 2006 World Cup . However, because of an injury, he did not take part in the World Cup.
