Alison Records is an independent label for guitar pop and electronics from Lüneburg .

The label was founded in 1995 by Hans-Peter Lorenzen and initially focused its releases on so-called shoegazing bands, a genre that was shaped in the early 1990s by British bands such as Slowdive, Ride, Swervedriver and Lush. One of the most important early releases in is the first album Not Here - Not Now by the Dresden band Malory .

Since Robin Kuchar took over the label in 2005, the label's musical focus has opened up in the direction of indie pop and electronics, although the roots have not been forgotten. The result was the release of the debut album Never Got Tatooed by the Wiesbaden band Scut, which was active in the Wiesbaden scene around bands such as Readymade and Rewika Records . In 2006 the debut EP from Regensburg's A Hundred Times Beloved followed . After digital distribution via Finetunes in 2006, the label won a distribution deal with Cargo Records Germany in 2007 , through which the albums Antarctic Sunrise from A Hundred Times Beloved, This Is How It Feels When You Stumble from Scut and in 2008 in cooperation with the Düsseldorf label Babsies Diktatur das Debut Treehouse of songwriter HONEY was released . In 2009 the self-titled album by the Hanoverian Situation Leclerq was released, with which the musical spectrum of Alison Records opened up further - and this time in the direction of danceable electro-pop. Scut's farewell EP , Counting Down the Numbers, released in 2011 via New Music Distribution , is Alison's last release so far.

In addition to the label work, Alison Records was also active in the booking area from 2007 to 2011. Since 2005 numerous concerts and club evenings have been held in Lüneburg and Hamburg in the vicinity of the label.

The label also organizes literature and music evenings in the region.
