The Allacher Tunnel (officially: Tunnel Allach) is a motorway tunnel in the north-west of Munich . The Munich motorway ring runs through the tunnel, which was opened in 1998 . On in an open design built section running alongside some roads and paths and the railway line Munich-Ingolstadt . The motorway also crosses under the Würm in the tunnel .

The Allach Tunnel has an automatic height control system at the access roads, which blocks the tunnel in the respective direction of travel as soon as a vehicle with a height of over four meters approaches. In this way it can be ensured that the tunnel is not damaged by trucks that are too high .
