Working alone

Working alone (single or single workplaces ) are workplaces that are carried out by one person alone outside of call and sight range to other people. This can also apply to short-term solo work.

According to Section 5 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act , the employer must determine the risks associated with working alone and assess the working conditions . Based on the assessment, suitable measures are to be provided and documented in accordance with Section 6 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act .

Working alone is generally not prohibited.

Only people who are aware of the dangers may be employed. Hazards must be reduced or eliminated through protective measures.
