Via Lucis
The Via Lucis ( Latin via lucis "path of light", "light path") is a relatively new form of prayer in the Roman Catholic Church . It is modeled after the Way of the Cross (Via Crucis) designed and has events around Easter the subject. The light path was created in the 1990s around the Salesians of Don Bosco . In the meantime, this devotion is also held in the context of world youth meetings and devotional paths with fourteen stations (sometimes only seven) are being created.
The stations
The light path comprises fourteen stations with events from Easter to Pentecost .
Opening of the light path
- Station: The crucified one is risen
- Station: The disciples find the empty tomb
- Station: The risen one appears to Mary from Magdala
- Station: On the way to Emmaus
- Station: They recognized him by the breaking of the bread
- Station: They were happy when they saw the Lord
- Station: The Lord promises the Holy Spirit as assistance
- Station: The risen one strengthens Thomas in faith
- Station: The Risen One appears at the Lake of Tiberias
- Station: The resurrected one gives Peter the pastoral office
- Station: Christ sends his disciples all over the world
- Station: The risen one returns to his father
- Station: united with Mary in prayer
- Station: The risen One sends the Holy Spirit
